Grip fighting is one of the most important aspects of Judo and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. When we talk about grip fighting, we're not just referring to preventing our opponent from grabbing our gi. That's only a small part of it. Grip fighting is about controlling where our opponent can grip us, and more importantly, controlling where WE can grip them. In this blog post, we'll discuss why grip fighting is so important and how you can start incorporating it into your game!

I'm not sure how I first got interested in grip fighting. Maybe it was because I was a big fan of judo as a kid, or maybe it was because I just liked the idea of using my hands to control and dominate my opponents. Either way, grip fighting has always been a passion of mine.

Over the years, I've had the opportunity to train with some of the best grip fighters in the world. I've also consulted and taught some of the best coaches and competitors in the world when it comes to grip fighting. And through all of this, I've learned some valuable lessons about this important aspect of judo.
