Fly On The Wall | Inside The Dojo | Tampa Florida Judo | Ouchi Gari And Osoto Gari In Randori
This is such a beautiful set up and a beautiful display of technique my Makai.
And anyone who teaches Judo understands how difficult it is to get your players, especially your young ones, to move in this fluid manner.
This particular student that’s in the middle of the of the screen Makai, has been working on Osoto Gari and Ouchi Gari for months and months and months and he is just understanding how to become fluid and and smooth with the with the movement and with the Osoto Gari feints and with creating the opportunity to do Ouchi Gari.
If you look at the video from the 10 second mark to the 22 second mark you’ll see how my cat establishes his grips with quality grip fighting and has set his left hand on the sleeve and his right hand on the lapel. (I would like to see his right hand a little bit higher but all things in due time).
If you watch closely you will see how Makai uses the Osoto Gari and the Osoto Gari feints to make his partner's right leg drawback and then when it does, Makai enters in for the Ouchi Gari. These are the type of things and I really enjoy watching and I hope that you can see the awesome type of work that we do inside of the dojo. I usually like to have my Randori done in small groups and I have practice go on a little bit longer so that we can implement deliberate practice so I can see who’s on the mat and make the adjustments during the randori sessions.
Enjoy.
